If I have two computers running Skype on the same network, transferring a file, does it use bandwidth?

Question by : If we have dual computers regulating Skype upon a same network, transferring a file, does it operate bandwidth?
I have dual computers during home. Computer A as well as Computer B have been upon a same wireless network. If both have been regulating Skype, as well as we send a record (collection of cinema = 4-5 gigs) from a single mechanism to an additional regulating Skype, does a initial mechanism upload a calm to a Skype server as well as a second mechanism downloads it from a Skype server?

Or, does Skype only operate a router in place to send a file?
