My internet path-finder incidentally does not work it says cannot find etc though my msn as well as skype work excellent i have attempted to make use of alternative browsers though a the same with all browsers does any one know what might be wrong?

It sounds like a virus on the computer. I have seen these a lot at school’s that require authentication. Usually the computer gets whats called a DNS redirect virus. I suggest you download and update http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-An… and then run a full scan. Hopefully that will fix your problem

Hi,
1. First try to put the internet settings to factory settings and check if that helps or not
2. If you are using IE7 then follow the steps that are mentioned in the following MS article How to optimize Internet Explorer – http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936213

“cannot find etc” is not very helpful. Can you post a better description of the error message?
