How Do I Get My Voip Set Up?

I already have a “SpeedTouch” ADSL modem as well as a apart Netgear RangeMax WPN824 wireless router bending up to my Dell Dimension 4600 Personal Computer with Windows XP. My complement functions fine. When we try to supplement my Linksys SPA3102 in to a network it doesn’t work. we remove a internet connection. we can have effusive calls though am not means to embrace incoming calls.

Swap the SPA3102 with the WPN824.
In other words, connect the SPA3102 Wan port directly to the Modem. Then, connect the SPA3102 Lan port to the Wan port of WPN824 Router.
That is exactly what I have done with my system.
I have Linksys SPA2102 ATA with built-in Router. I connected it directly to my Cable Modem. Then I connected my WRT54G Router to the output of the SPA2102. It works perfectly this way.
Just be sure to Enable the QOS in SPA3102 for 128 Kbps. This will reserve 128 Kbps of bandwidth for VoIP QOS.
With this setup, you don’t have to do any Port Forwarding. The SPA3102 and SPA2102 take care of the ports it needs for VoIP. But, the SPA3102/SPA2102 have to be directly connected to the Modem and not behind another Router. Your other Routers just connect to the output of the ATA’s.
The SPA2102 and SPA3102 already have built-in Nat-Routers, so they are protected, as well as everything from its Lan ports.

The VoIP port(s) (check the VoIP modem’s manual – different VoIP systems use different ports) has to be forwarded, in the router, to the VoIP modem.
If the ADSL modem is doing network address translation (check its manual) you’ll have to bridge the Netgear (see http://www.webdingers.com/router.html for instructions) and you’ll have to forward the port in the ADSL modem to the VoIP modem.
